When antique clear glass bottles meet the sun, all these years later, they turn the most beautiful shade of amethyst. This is due to the manganese added by American glass makers in the early 1800s.
This is a super cool apothecary bottle. The embossing reads “ Eugene Hartnett Druggist and Chemist Jersey City. The keystone logo is really unique as well. I topped it with a small crystal drawer pull. 6”
This is for the single bottle pictured.
Artist @Gypsy Fish
As an artist, my work is inspired by nature, history and the magic that surrounds it. My unrefined style plays into both my mixed media art bottles, as well as the jewelry I design. Working to create a rugged, yet stylized look I purposely utilize the imperfections of the mediums I incorporate. Using found objects and different metals also helps me to achieve an archaic mystical feel.
Most of all, I love bringing the energy of nature and history together as one to be worn or wondered.
